Taj Mahal Same Day Agra by Car

The tour representative will come to pick you up from your chosen hotel in Gurgaon/New Delhi or the airport or any other your specified location. From here you will be taken to Agra in a prepaid taxi. The distance between Delhi to Agra is 217 km and it takes roughly 5 hrs to reach provided road and weather conditions are normal. Taj Expressway connects both the cities making the journey extremely comfortable.

Once you reach Agra, you will stop at a popular eating joint for some nice refreshments. Then the driver will straight away take you for Taj Mahal viewing.

Taj Mahal is a dream in marble. You will enter the mausoleum after paying the entry ticket. The ticket counter is open at both Western and Eastern Gate. It is open an hour before sunrise. Entry fee is INR 50 for Indian and INR 1100 for foreign nationals. An additional INR 200 need to be paid if you wish to see the main mausoleum. Shahjahan built Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.

After seeing the majestic Taj Mahal you must proceed to visit another amazing tourist interest spot- Agra Fort. It is a very popular monument in Agra spread over an area of 2.5 km. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Agra Fort is built completely out of red sandstone.

Now you must stop at a good restaurant for lunch. Agra is known for some amazing culinary delights. Try the world- renowned Mughlai cuisine which is known for its flavors and aroma. You can visit places like Ram Babu Paratha Bhandar, Pinch of Spice and Mama Chicken Mama Franky, etc.

Once you are done with your lunch you can proceed to visit the Tomb of Itimad-ud- Daulah popularly referred to as "Baby Taj" or Jewel Box. Later on, in case you have time on hand, you must visit Mehtab Bagh.

Now you must leave for Delhi if you wish to reach before it gets too late at night. Once you reach Delhi the tour representative will transfer you to your chosen hotel or the airport as per your wish.
