Rajasthan Culture Tour

Overview

This is a 9 day long Rajasthan Cultural Tour which takes you across different cities in Rajasthan beginning from the capital Delhi, and then covering all key towns of the desert state such as Jaipur, Agra, Jodhpur and Udaipur. From visiting different forts and monuments, checking out UNESCO World Heritage sites, shopping at lovely bazaars, going to temples and trying out delectable Rajasthani cuisine there are several things which you can experience in your Rajasthan Cultural Tour.

    Day 1 - Arrival in capital

    The tour representative will be there to pick you from the airport or from the railway station and from there you will be transferred to a nice hotel as per your budget. The two days which you have at the capital will be spent in visiting well-known sites like Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, Lodhi Gardens etc. Actually Delhi has so much to see that packing all in one day is not possible. In the evening you can visit India Gate or check out the Light & Sound Show at Red Fort. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Delhi.

    Day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing

    In the morning after taking your breakfast you will again step for some sightseeing. You must visit Swami Narayan Akshardham Temple which is a piece of brilliant architecture. Delhi has some really nice places to shop such as Chandni Chowk, Select Citywalk Mall, Lajpath Nagar MarketHauz Khas Village etc. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Delhi.

    Day 3 - Delhi to Agra in a prepaid taxi

    In the morning, after breakfast you will leave for Agra city which is located at a distance of roughly 240 kms. Agra is famous for Taj Mahal. This beautiful monument is epitome of undying love. Other key places which you can visit in Agra are Agra Fort, Mehtab Bagh and Tomb of Itimad-ud Daulah. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Agra.

    Day 4 – Agra to Jaipur

    In the morning you will head for Jaipur in a prepaid taxi. Enroute you will take a small halt at Fatehpur Sikri where you can see key tourist sites such as Buland Darwaza, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and Jodha Bai's Palace. On reaching Jaipur check into a good heritage hotel according to your budget. Jaipur is a beautiful city which offers the perfect amalgamation of culture and modern lifestyle. Try finger- licking Rajasthani cuisine here. Visit Chowki Dhani which showcases rural lifestyle of Rajasthan. You must indulge in some shopping at well-knwon bazaars of Jaipur and buy precious or semi- precious jewelry, tie and die fabric, marble artifacts, wooden products etc. Overnight stay is in the hotel in Jaipur.

    Day 5 - More of Jaipur sightseeing

    In the morning again you will again step out for sightseeing of the Pink City. Try the elephant safari at Amer fort. Always carry some light snack and bottled water. There are other very nice forts in Jaipur such as the Mehrangarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort etc. Visit the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Govind Dev ji Temple, Albert Hall Museum and Hawa Mahal. Enjoy some Rajasthani dance and musical performances in your hotel. Overnight stay is in the hotel.

    Day 6 - Jaipur to Jodhpur in a prepaid taxi

    In the morning once you are done with your breakfast leave in a prepaid taxi to Jodhpur. It takes 6 to 7 hours to reach Jodhpur provided the road and weather conditions are good. Jodhpur is popularly referred to as the Blue City. Jodhpur is a preferred destination for lavish Indian weddings. Start with visit to Mehrangarh Fort. Then you can visit Moti Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thanda which is royal cenotaph. It is built entirely of white marble. Other key places here are Umaid Bhawan Museum, Mandore Garden,etc. Overnight is at the hotel.

    Day 7 - Jodhpur sightseeing

    In the morning you will again step out for sightseeing. For a boating experience visit the Kalyana Lake. If you like to indulge in some nice shopping you must go to the Clock Tower or the Ghanta Ghar Market. Here you can buy antiques, handicrafts, hand embroidered fabric, etc. Overnight is at the hotel in Jodhpur.

    Day 8 - Jodhpur to Udaipur in a prepaid taxi

    In the morning after checking out of the hotel, you will leave for Udaipur which will take you around 4 to 5 hrs. Udaipur is located at a distance of 244 kms from Jodhpur. It is known as City of Lakes or Venice of East. A must visit place in Udaipur is the highly beautiful,City Palace. It overlooks Lake Pichola. Another key place which you must visit is Jagmandir. It is a 17th century palace. Overnight stay is in Udaipur.

    Day 9 - More of Udaipur sightseeing

    In the morning you leave for sightseeing tour of Udaipur. Visit Saheliyon-ki Bari, Jagdish Temple, Pichola Lake, etc. Pichola Lake is one of the largest and oldest lakes in Udaipur. It is flanked by elevated ghats, temples and palaces. Other main places to visit in Udaipur are Fateh Sagar Lake, Sajjangarh Palace, and Vintage Car Museum etc. For shopping you can visit the Hathi Pol Bazaar, Bada Bazaar etc. Overnight stay is in hotel.

    Day 10 - Leave in a prepaid taxi to Delhi and this is the end of the trip

    In the morning you will leave for Delhi in a prepaid taxi. This is the end of your Rajasthan Culture Tour which takes you on an exciting journey across different cities in Rajasthan. This trip will surely leave you with memories for lifetime. On reaching Delhi you will be transferred to the airport or railway station from where you can proceed your onward journey.
